Tip: in problematic areas, add multiple VIA points closely before/after the issue

When to use:
Asphalt = paved roads
Adventure = mixed surface
Offroad = dirt / forest roads
Offroad+ = more aggressive off-road routing

H – Avoid highways

What it does: prevents routing on highways (if an alternative exists)
When to use: almost always for roadbooks / motorcycle trips

I – Free route

What it does: allows bridging a section outside routing data (typically where “the trail ends”)
When to use: when the system refuses to route through a place that exists in reality but is missing from map data

J – Tulips (symbol selection)

What it does: selects a symbol / tulip for markers (used together with WAYPOINT)
When to use: for CPs, STOPs, hazards, and other roadbook markings
